Introducing

…Me & My articles….

*

I am a nomad in spirit.

I live in 3 cities.

I pursue wealth – wealth of life experiences.

And to gain that wealth, I travel.

To 3-4 locations a year that are remote for me, in terms of physical and cultural distance.

Armed with two probes – my camera and my chit-chat.

(Just back from a 2000 km road journey through the tribal villages of Arunachal Pradesh)

As keepsakes of the endangered cultures I visit, I collect conversations, images and antique textiles & jewelry.

The stories are presented in the various category kaleidoscopes

while the images and antiques are showcased in the websites linked on the panel to the right.

If you enjoy reading these, do share them through the facebook, linkedin, twitter!

Someone asked me my reasons for making the effort to write these articles and put up photographs since it earns me no visible rewards and does take upto 4 hours to put together my best articles.

I think it is mainly to infect others with the awe and the wonder and the delight that I feel each time I discover diversity in a world that is getting increasingly homogenised. I find it intriguing and stimulating and very refreshing to attempt to understand a new model of life that is alien to my life model and I hope to transmit my excitement at finding newness through these writings.

“swantah sukhay” is the only reason for this blog.

And as for the time invested – my wise tailor said to me yesterday “only a corpse does not have time” – we all have time for the things we love !
